A member has reported a possible telephone scam from a company claiming to represent a safety community partnership, asking you to confirm the details of an advert you have placed with them and agree to the advertising fee of approx £299. The telephone number they give out is 0161 236 3200 but it does not appear to be registered to the company.
Please be careful. Our member has contacted their local trading standards office and also reported the matter as a possible scam to the police and an incident number has been set up. If you receive a similar call please contact trading standards and the police to report the matter.
