The Fellowship qualification is a practical examination conducted by an IDTA appointed Examiner. Candidates will present a portfolio, will be asked to demonstrate this dance style, and answer questions.
Candidates will be required to have held the appropriate Licentiate qualification for a minimum of one year prior to the examination. For the Cheerleading Fellowship, the candidate must also hold the Cheerleading Stunt Diploma.
Candidates may wish to consider applying to become an IDTA Examiner. Full details available from IDTA Head Office.
Candidates for IDTA dance teaching qualifications are required to apply using the IDTA Professional Application Form, and pay the examination fee in advance. Training fees are set by the teacher.
The examination syllabus is listed in the "Professional and Amateur Dance Syllabus". The techniques for these genres are published in the IDTA "Street Dance Guide", "Rock 'n' Roll" by Lynda King, plus "Technique of Line Dancing" & "Cheer Technique" by Jean Eve & Lynda Blyth-Phillips.
