A personal message from husband Mark Windsor-Hampton

Joanne Windsor-Hampton
20.12.1966 – 14.10.2022

It is with great sadness I announce the passing of my Wife and IDTA dance teacher Joanne Windsor-Hampton on the 14th October 2022; the day preceding our 11th Wedding Anniversary.  As the daughter of past IDTA Director Emeritus Mr Dereck Brown, Joanne was introduced to dancing at an early age; being dragged to her parents dance school at the age of three.  In later years she gained a myriad of qualifications and became a popular, successful teacher within the family business despite having many friends with two left feet

She was also the first accredited Zumba instructor in Peterborough travelling to Edinburgh for training

Unfortunately she never made her husband Mark a dancer, who was more concerned filming the IDTA Congresses than sticking one foot in front of another (or sideways..)

Her personal generosity, warmth and love extended far beyond family and work. She will be greatly missed.  There is nothing more to add but to lament and celebrate a bright, bubbly and, very often, a silly, crazy but an adorable young woman.  As is so often the case, the world has lost another diamond and this vibrant, wonderful person has now departed to that big sprung dance floor in the sky. Remember her if you can or love someone close to your heart just a little more..
