At the Board of Directors meeting on 9th & 10th November the continuing affects of the pandemic on all IDTA events was discussed.
Venues are still closed and social distancing is still in place and the varying levels of restrictions mean that it is impossible to arrange dance competitions. The announcement of a vaccine and the roll out of testing is positive but will take time to work with the restrictions to return life to normal. After careful consideration, regretfully the Board has decided that the 2021 Street and Ballroom & Latin Nationwide Finals must be cancelled.
We know that this will be hugely disappointing to everyone who supports the Nationwide Finals and we wish to assure you that we are planning how the Nationwide Finals and Area Heats can take place once the restrictions are lifted.
We must congratulate all the dancers who qualified for the Ballroom and Latin Finals in 2020 and have been unable to compete due to the pandemic and their teachers and families who have supported them.
Thank you for your support throughout this very difficult time.
