IDTA Resumption of Examination Service and Alternative Examination Session formats

Dear Members

We hope that you are all safe and well.

The Board of Directors is pleased to announce the resumption of the Examination Service from the beginning of September 2020, subject to Covid-19 pandemic regulations and restrictions.

A detailed document has been produced for members, providing instruction on how the examination service may be resumed, with certain restrictions. It is available to view in the Members Information section of the Members Area.

Regretfully, due to frequent changes in quarantine requirements we are unable to send a UK Examiner to conduct examination outside the UK.

We are offering three options for members;

UK Members:

  1. Examiner Present (preferred option),
  2. Live Streaming using the Zoom platform
  3. Video examinations.

International Members:

  1. Examiner Present (if an Examiner is based in the country in which you live),
  2. Live Streaming using the Zoom platform
  3. Video examinations

All members whose examination sessions were cancelled earlier in the year, will be emailed a copy of the appropriate document and asked if they wish to proceed with their examination session in accordance with the guidance and restrictions and their preferred option; Examiner Present, Live Streamed, Video.

All members who wish to book an examination session should request a new Request Form from Head Office and they will be sent a copy of the appropriate document.

Please read the documentation issued carefully, as there are variations in the timetabling of sessions and to the examination that may be entered at this time.

We hope that you will appreciate that the Board of Directors and Quality Assurance Panels have worked to ensure the integrity, security and standards of the IDTA’s examinations and to minimise the risks to all involved in the examination service.
