As a Fellow and Examiner of IDTA and former Chairman of the North West Area Ballroom Committee Michael is proud to serve the IDTA as a member of the Board of Directors .

Having grown up in the business Michael and his wife Marie had a successful amateur and professional competitive career and are former finalists in the World and European Professional Ten Dance Championships. When they retired from competing they opened their first dance studio and now run IDTA studios in two locations.

Michael considers it an honour and privilege to have served the IDTA members as a Director, serving on the current Financial and General Purposes Committee, Quality Assurance Panel and IT Committee. Michael believes that the IDTA should always be looking for new ways to use developments in technology to benefit the members of the Association, save money and increase efficiency.

Having served two years as the chairman of the Latin technical faculty Michael was very honoured to be selected as Chairman of the Ballroom Faculty.

Over the past 30 years IDTA members have supported him with advice and assistance and as a Director he feels it is an opportunity to return that support by continuing to work hard for members of the Association.

He believes the Association should always be looking to the future to always re-main ‘At the Heart of Dance”.
