Belly Dancing Diploma

This Diploma is designed for IDTA dance teachers who would like a qualification in this dance style, and also for Belly Dancing teachers who have established classes and would like to obtain a teaching qualification from one of the best dance teaching associations in the UK.

How will you be assessed?

The Diploma qualification is a practical examination conducted by an IDTA appointed Examiner. Candidates will be asked to demonstrate this dance style and answer questions.

Prerequisites

Candidates must be 17 years or over.

Fees

Candidates for IDTA dance teaching qualifications are required to apply using the IDTA Professional Application Form and pay the examination fee in advance. Training fees are set by the teacher.

Membership status

Belly Dancing is a "non-core subject". Candidates who successfully pass the Diploma qualification are invited to be members of the IDTA, on payment of an annual subscription. Members holding a Diploma in this dance style may enter candidates for examinaitions in this particular dance style only. Members holding this Diploma are ordinary members of the IDTA who may attend the Annual General Meeting, but do not hold voting rights.
