About IDTA Areas
The Association has over 7,000 teachers in the UK and 17 Area Committees offering workshops, seminars, children’s days and competitions for IDTA members and their schools. Between the Areas, nearly fifty meetings are held each year all open to members at which leading experts in the field lecture or conduct workshops as appropriate.
A liaison and advice service operates through Head Office in Brighton and locally through Area activities. These activities are implemented by the Area Committees funded in part by the main Association.
Members can attend any Area meeting, on production of their current IDTA membership card (note there may be a small entrance fee for some meetings). For details of access for IDTA students or children’s days, please contact the Area Secretary for your area.
